With the construction of two EPR reactors at the Hinkley Point nuclear power plant site, Framatome is participating in one of the major industrial projects in the United Kingdom. Ultimately, these new reactors will meet the electricity needs of 6 million households.

These reactors will be protected by a new architecture of imposing safety and emergency control-command systems. Indeed, each of them consists of 76 electrical cabinets, the design of which represents a significant challenge given the complexity of the electrical diagrams and the number of wirings to be carried out.

Systerel is proud to have contributed to this vast project as part of its partnership with TechnicAtome by bringing its expertise in the development of tools (XML and XSLT) and its expertise in the fields of verification and testing applied to a safety standard.
