Software for railway control and protection systems must comply with the requirements of the CENELEC EN 50128:2011/A2:2020 standard and the CENELEC EN 50716:2023 standard, which will eventually replace it.

Anyone involved in developing such railway-domain software must understand and apply these standards. This training is intended for software developers, whether or not they have previous experience in environments with functional safety constraints.

  • Understand the concept of SIL, a key element in both EN 50716 and EN 50128
  • Learn the stages and requirements associated with the software lifecycle
  • Master the organizational aspects required by the EN 50128 standard
  • Introduction to the directives and requirements of the EN 50716 standard
